Ameris Bank Jacksonville Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
Ameris Bank is proud to carry on the tradition of the Jacksonville Marathon, the oldest marathon in Jacksonville, Florida and one of the fastest courses in the U.S. In its 40th year, this race celebrates the beauty of Jacksonville on a course featuring plentiful shade and flat terrain.
Overview
The Ameris Bank Jacksonville Marathon & Half Marathon course is USA Track and Field certified (FL10117EBM), flat, fast and very scenic with 85% shade. There are no steep hills, bridges or overpasses. The course starts at Bolles School on San Jose Blvd. heads north, then south to Mandarin, does a loop and heads back along the St. Johns River to Bolles. Water & Electrolyte stations are located about every two miles. Clocks and mile markers at every mile. The 5K runs the first 5K of the marathon course and finishes on San Jose in front of The Bolles School.

Marathon & Half Marathon Awards
Prize money of $500, $200 and $100 will be awarded to the top three overall men and women, $100 to the top master male and female. Plaques will be given to the first three finishers in each of the following age-groups: 19 and under, 20-24 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. The overall runners and the top ten finishers in each age group will score single points to be counted in the Jacksonville Grand Prix.
Finisher Medals
Large, custom designed 40th annual finisher medals will be given to marathon, half marathon and 5K finishers in the finish chutes.
iTab
The finisher medal has been designed to fit an iTaB insert. Collect your medal at the finish line and your iTaB will arrive in the post a few weeks later, engraved with your name and finish time. If you think your iTab may have been lost during shipment, please contact info@mysportingtimes.com and the customer service team will send a replacement at no charge, after confirming the correct details.
The iTaB fits neatly into the back of your medal and is a great way to celebrate your achievement. If you would like to customize our finisher medal with the iTab insert, you can select it when you register online for $20.00.
A clothes check-in area will be located at the starting line. Make sure that you have your bag clearly marked with your race number. All bags will be available for pickup on the west end of the track behind the finish line and food area.

The Start
The Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K will start together on San Jose Boulevard in front of The Bolles School at 7:00 A.M. The Bolles School gymnasium will open at 5:30 AM for day-of-race registration and serve as a runners assembly area. A clothes check-in area will be located at the starting line.
The Marathon & Half Marathon Finish
The Marathon & Half Marathon will finish on the Hodes Field Track in the Skinner-Barco Stadium at the Bolles School.
The 5K
The 5K runs the first 5K of the Marathon and finishes on San Jose Boulevard in front of The Bolles School.
The Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K (for children 13 years and younger) is a Jacksonville Grand Prix event and the first Marathon and Half Marathon of the series. Runners who finish in the top ten of their age group will receive double points for Marathon and standard points for Half Marathon to be counted in the overall series. Over $5,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded at the end of the series.
